Not quite 10 years after seeing my first show, I finally made the pilgrimage to San Francisco to see the Dead for 4 shows in the holy land! Each show got more intense as the week went on. 12/27 was rockin show, but the arena might have been 3/4 full at most, real easy going. We were on the floor right by the sound board all 4 nights. Maybe 15 - 20 friends. My buddy Jeff Rosen who had moved to Berkeley a few years before got the tix. As it says "It's all a dream we dreamed one afternoon long ago"

I had the tape of 12/31 set II early in my tape-collecting career. A staple.

Cool to see the old school "ways" 20 bucks pricy ticket for '82? Long strange trip to see Bobby doing slow cowboy songs "today". ( Still missing the man the merry men together)

@Rainbow-Vibes - Bobby was always a cowboy at heart and brought all those songs to the Dead. Hope he'll play Me& Bobby McGee at the Cap and I'll go home with a smile and a tear in my eye.
